Traditional Resistance & Cardio Exercises, uses more machine oriented exercises focusing on more of a one body part isolation styled movement. Although other finer muscle groups are activated, it's not the main focus of the activity. Such as Bicep Curls, all though the entire arm moves, the focus is only on the BICEPS. This style of training is more of a BODYBUILDING approach, to muscle symmetrical appearance perfection.
That's why when TRAINING IN MY FUNCTIONAL FITNESS CLASS, WE WORK THE ENTIRE BODY, WITH MULTIPLE COMPOUND MOVEMENTS IN ALL THREE DIRECTIONS, UP & DOWN, FRONT TO BACK, AND SIDE TO SIDE, KEEPING OUR HEART RATE UP, AND KEEPING OUR BREATHING RHYTHM AT THE RIGHT PACE. This is done to build over all whole body health, strength and longevity, which is what our ancestors did.
Although I do specific body part exercises, I incorporate multiple movements to enhance the body's functional improvement levels.
Every Wednesdays 4:30pm Resolution GYM fitness studio, must bring water, and towel, and if you have your own YOGA MAT, BRING THAT TOO.
